Medallion: One prong-set oval standard mixed-cut tanzanite, measuring 9.96 x 8.00 x 5.20mm (depth estimate), approximate total weight of 2.91 carats; clarity is eye-clean, type 1, bluish violet color, (GIA vB 0/0), cut if very good. Lattice diffusion.

Note: There are two appraisals for "retail replacement value": one done January 2019 by AIGL in Los Angeles, CA for $37,290 and the other done October 2022 by Lamon Jewelers in Knoxville, TN for $22,600. The two values indicate a possible range of retail replacement values: $22,600-$37,290. Some reasons for the difference in value may be that jewelry does sell for a higher price in Los Angeles than in Knoxville, difference in approximation of total carat weights of tanzanites and diamonds. AIGL - based on my research - also may have a slight reputation for giving retail replacement values on the high end. I believe, therefore, the appraisal done by Lamon Jewelers is more reflective of market prices, or at the very least is the conservative value, so I am using it to guide this item's price.
